Prima is our little love bug. She is happiest snuggled in someone's lap, and will warm your heart when you need it most. She loves giving hugs and kisses, and is especially fond of children. However, contrary to her quiet house manners, she immediately springs to life when the action begins...
Prima is the epitome of versatility, excelling in several different venues with minimal training. She's always ready, willing and able to tackle any activity, and her natural talents are the driving force behind all her accomplishments. In the breed ring, Prima earned both majors out of the puppy classes, going Best of Winners over adult males. She easily earned her RN, RA and RE titles with several placements along the way, including multiple 1st Place wins. She became only the third Toller to achieve the RAE title, qualifying throughout the entire series. She earned her AKC CD in three straight trials over two consecutive weekends and her UKC CD in one weekend, including a 2nd Place for her title leg. She learned flyball almost instantly; she mastered the box and jumps within 15 minutes of being introduced to the game, and after just five practices, she ran in her first tournament and walked away with her FD and FDX. On a whim, we decided to try lure coursing, and Prima took Best in Field. She eventually became the first Toller to earn the Coursing Ability title as well. Her natural abilities in the field are also admirable, as she was retrieving birds at seven weeks and passed her first hunt test at four months old. Prima also loves dock diving. With no prior experience, she earned a title and placed in the finals during her weekend debut; she has gone on to compete in all four dock diving organizations, picking up many placements and titles throughout her adventures. Despite not regularly competing in agility until she was eight years old, Prima has managed to pack in a lifetime of accomplishments in a short period of time. She went from Novice A to two championship titles with many national rankings, placements, class wins and a very successful trip to the National Agility Championship along the way. Soon after taking up barn hunt, in just three weekends, Prima earned her Instinct, Novice and Open titles with multiple 1st Placements. And she has most recently proven that you *can* teach an old dog new tricks, earning her Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Trick Dog titles all in one session. While Prima is highly driven in all her performance venues, she thrives on her own sweetness and affection. She has an innate ability to provide comfort and support to patients in a cardiac intensive care unit, where she occasionally works as a certified therapy dog.
Prima is proudly owner trained and handled in all activities.
